OLD RUSH DAY is an annual event recognizing a historical landmark in the Gold Rush town of Angels Camp. Last year, the first event, the historical landmark was 100 years since the citys incorporation and was celebrated with the also historical closing of Hwy 49/S. Main St., making way for a Street Fair and downtown celebration. This years event is in celebration of 165 years since the founding of Angels Camp in 1848. Going forward, the annual celebrations will include the same, a closing of Hwy. 49/S. Main St., Street Fair, activities and entertainment. Angels Camp Commemorative Committee anticipates 5,000 + people will come for a day of celebration in our Historic downtown and Utica Park areas.
