CLASS IS IN CLASSROOM NO 3
This three hour class is intended to familiarize business owners with the capabilities of the Google platform, so that they can make informed choices about using Google services in their own business. As the Internet's dominant search engine, a good understanding of how Google ranks and presents search results is critical to all local businesses. In the area of cloud based applications, Google is continuously adding to and improving their services, many of which are available at low or no cost.
Topics to be covered include:
- Principles of search engine optimization
- New Google search technologies
- Google Maps and local search
- AdWords and AdWords Express
- Google Plus, including Hangouts and Communities
- Google Apps, including Gmail, Calendar and Drive
While the class is designed to include people who have not used Google services before, prerequisites include: basic computer use, familiarity with a modern web browser and basic knowledge of the Internet. Classes will use live, online examples of the services being described, whenever possible. Attendees are encouraged to use their own connected devices throughout the sessions.
