HALLOWEEN AT THE CAVERN

Beginning Saturday, October 3, Moaning Cavern Adventure Park puts the Ahh in adventure with the opening of their new Halloween at the Cavern event.

Halloween at the Cavern is the perfect place for families to go this Halloween season for a frighteningly fun time, said Carolee White, special events coordinator for Cave and Mine Adventures. We have so many family-friendly events planned for Halloween this year and so much of it is free

Each weekend in October, Moaning Cavern will have a pumpkin patch with pre-picked regular and heirloom variety pumpkins for sale and a FREE kid-friendly small hay maze open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. With every purchase of a pumpkin of $5, or more, visitors can enter the Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin that is on display. The pumpkins weight and the winner will be announced on Halloween.

On Halloween, the day is packed with events from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. guaranteed to put everyone in the Halloween spirit. Prior to picking the perfect pumpkin, families can jump on the Unimog Adventure Ride, which includes the BOO-tiful scenic vistas around the Moaning Cavern property and features traversing Haunted Hill.

In addition to the Unimog ride, families can continue their Halloween experience by dressing up and entering the Homemade Costume contest and bringing a pre-decorated pumpkin to entering in the Decorated Pumpkin Contest. In the afternoon children ages 3 -12 can search for little pumpkins on during the Pumpkin Plunder.

For the older kids and adults, sign up for the Zip Line Pumpkin Smash While zipping up to 30 mph, guests drop a pumpkin from the zip line trying to hit the target on the ground. All bullseye target winners get a FREE Zip Line ride AND the full entry ticket price will be donated to the Salvation Army to help the Butte Fire victims. The Zip Line Pumpkin Smash is $55 per pumpkin smash and there is a limited number of entries for the day, so arrive early

After a ghoulishly good time outside, dont forget Moaning Cavern offers cave walking tours, cave rappels and great shopping in the visitors center. We will even have Halloween-themed merchandise for this season.
