THIRD ANNUAL SHOW AND SHINE CAR SHOW

On Saturday, May 28th, The Rotary Club of Ione will sponsor its 3rd Annual Show & Shine Classic and Vintage Car Show. This year, the location has moved to Westover Field Amador County Airport in Jackson, CA. The show expects cars from throughout California and Nevada, and will feature vehicles in all categories from street rods to stock pre-1960, modified foreign cars and more. Some trucks will be on display.

This year the sponsors expect an estimated 400 cars on display, 3,000 people in attendance. In addition to the car show, vintage WWII aircraft will do a fly-by.

Show car check-in is 7-9 AM, a pancake breakfast will be served by the Boy Scouts. Other food vendors will include a variety of tasty faire. Show car judging will be from 10 AM to 12 noon. The event is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All proceeds will go to local youth organizations and the Interfaith Food Bank and other non-profit organizations.

General admission for the public will be $5 per person. Preregistration for display vehicles is $30, and day-of-registration is $40.
