Description

Come Join us for our Second Annual Me-Wuk Heritage Day

The festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a traditional blessing and will then continue until 2 p.m. Demonstrations of beadwork and jewelry making, basket weaving, flint knapping and acorn preparation will continue throughout the event. A special presentation of traditional native dancing by the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuks will take place at 11 a.m. Admission and parking are free.

Representatives of the Tuolumne Me-Wuks Four Seasons Native Plant Nursery will be present, and the Tuolumne County Master Gardeners will be onsite to answer questions and give away native seeds and plants (while supplies last). The Master Gardeners will have information available on invasive species and their eradication.
