Description
This year, Bear Valley Music Festival is delighted to offer not one, but TWO free concerts suitable for families as a double feature.
Join us for the annual Family Concert with Dawn Harms at 11 AM, then enjoy a leisurely family lunch and return at 2 PM to hear the Bear Valley Orchestra with three exceptionally gifted young soloists in music by Haydn, Mozart and Mendelssohn.
FAMILY CONCERT: Conductor and violinist Dawn Harms has captivated family audiences for years with her fun and engaging educational show. She takes her audiences on an exciting musical adventure that spans more than 300 years. From the music of Bach and Mozart to contemporary composers, her energetic show delights people of all ages.
STARS OF TOMORROW: Continuing the long-standing tradition of encouraging young artists, the Bear Valley Music Festival is proud to present musical prodigy siblings Valerie, Starla and Dustin Breshears in music by Haydn, Mozart and Mendelssohn accompanied by the Bear Valley Orchestra led by Maestro Michael Morgan...
The Bear Valley Music Festival is a yearly summer event in Bear Valley, California, located about 180 miles east of San Francisco at just above 7200 feet elevation in the Sierra Nevada. The festival currently begins on the second-to-last Friday in July and ends three Sundays later, drawing a total audience of roughly four thousand attendees. Under the direction of internationally recognized conductor Michael Morgan since 2012, the festival strives to appeal to a wide demographic by presenting a variety of artists and styles of music including classical, rock, country and jazz. The concerts are held in a tent erected to serve as a concert hall, equipped with a stage large enough to hold a symphony orchestra.
