GOLD COUNTRY ROASTERS

Gold Country Roasters (GCR) is a small, artisan wholesale and retail coffee roasting company and coffeehouse located in the charming and historic Calaveras County town of Murphys the heart of Californias historic Gold Country. We opened on June 1, 2012, after taking over ownership of the long-established Gold Country Coffee Roasting Company, which had been a fixture in Murphys since 1996. We moved the business to its current location at the corner of Jones St. and Scott St. in The Arbors, and have proudly carried on the tradition of roasting and supplying premium fresh roasted coffees to local residents, restaurants, hotels and retailers in the Murphys area and beyond.

We source only the highest quality 100% Arabica green coffees from around the world including organic, Fair Trade USA, Rainforest Alliance and SMBC-certified Bird Friendly coffees, and carefully hand-roast the beans on-site in small batches, with close attention to detail and quality. Our cafe offers a full range of specialty espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea and chai, Dr. Smoothie brand 100% Crushed pure fruit smoothies, Italian sodas and more, as well as a wide selection of delicious, fresh baked pastries, desserts and chocolate confections. We also carry a full line of coffee-related retail gift items such as insulated travel mugs, coffee cups, brewing and storage equipment and local artisan-crafted gift items.
