Description
WELCOME We are the Masonic Lodge in the historic gold rush village of Murphys, in the heart of Californias other wine country. We Freemasons, along with the associated Crescent Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, have been active participants in the life of our community since our founding in 1853. Youll see us marching in the Murphys Irish Day Parade each year. Were proud of our Lodges strong continuing support of local public schools through our scholarships, direct financial aid to school programs, and individual tutoring...
Come visit Ophir Bear Mountain Lodge 33 when you are in Murphys. Visiting Masons will want to know that our regular monthly Stated Meetings (open to Master Masons only) are held on the first Thursday beginning at 7:30 PM. Everyone, Masons and non-Masons alike, is welcome at our monthly family dinners and at a number of other open events throughout the year. See our calendar for a listing of upcoming events. During such events, you are welcome to visit our historic Lodge building and take a guided tour. Our original upstairs Lodge room is now maintained as a museum, and still contains some furnishings which, tradition informs us, came by clipper ship around the Horn. Were located on Church Street, just a short block from historic Main Street. Look for the big white building.
