Activities:
- Clients who meet income guidelines receive an emergency supply of food once every thirty days so that they can avoid skipping meals or avoid cutting back on the amount of food they eat.
- Government Commodities Food Distribution and Pantries are open throughout the month in the areas of Valley Springs, Angels Camp, Murphys, Copperopolis, Arnold, Mountain Ranch, Mokelumne Hill and our clients are referred to pantries in their area.
- The Resource Connection assists families and individuals in signing up for CalFRESH (www.c4yourself.com), which provides monetary resources for low-income households to purchase supplemental food (formally known as Food Stamps and SNAP).
- By helping people work towards self-reliance, the Food Bank refers our clients to Calaveras Works and Human Services, Mother Lode Job Training, Salvation Army for small propane tanks and emergency gas vouchers for medical appointments and more.
- Santa's Express Holiday Food Baskets and Toy for Kids - for families that may not otherwise have them.
