Description

The Calaveras County Veterans Services Office (CSVO) is an office established by the Board of Supervisors of Calaveras County to assist veterans, their dependents and survivors, and the general public in obtaining benefits from federal, state and local agencies administering programs for veterans.

We are a county agency that assists veterans in dealing with Veterans Affairs (VA).

We offer the Following Services
  • Comprehensive benefit counseling
  • Claim preparation and submission
  • Claim follow-up to insure final decision
  • Initiate and develop appeals when appropriate
  • Networking with federal, state and local agencies

Information and referral services for:
  • Employment
  • Public Assistance
  • VA Medical Care
  • Social Security
  • Referral for Homelessness

Please bring a copy of your DD214 (discharge paperwork) and/or any VA claim(s) correspondence received. If the claim involves dependents, bring marriage and/or birth certificates as well as Social Security Numbers for all dependents.

Please note - If you are not checked in by 4:00pm, or if your claim requires additional time, or necessary documentation to complete your claim is not presented on the day you come in, you will be scheduled for the next available appointment.
